چکیده
Densification of PMN-PT piezoelectric ceramic powder is carried out by electric field assisted/flash sintering method. The composition selected in materials system 0.67[Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3]−0.33(PbTiO3). During flash experiment, 200 V/mm applied on sample with 0.1 amp current cutoff value. Flash accomplished less than 90 sec at ~700 °C. Relative density for sintered measured approximately 94 % which reasonable value comparing literature. SEM microstructure illustration exhibits proper consolidation morphology agreement the relative measurement. According to XRD analysis, said shows consistency rhombohedral perovskite crystal structure and preserve its chemical physical during whole experimental cycle. By technique, temperature decreased from 1200 °C 700 along a decrement time 2 hours seconds. properly produced method first respect open Hence, this densification will gain importance reduce toxic Pb emission aroused high processes.

On the Mechanism of Microwave Flash Sintering of Ceramics
The results of a study of ultra-rapid (flash) sintering of oxide ceramic materials under microwave heating with high absorbed power per unit volume of material (10-500 W/cm³) are presented. Ceramic samples of various compositions-Al₂O₃; Y₂O₃; MgAl₂O₄; and Yb(LaO)₂O₃-were sintered using a 24 GHz gyrotron system to a density above 0.98-0.99 of the theoretical value in 0.5-5 min without isothermal...

Lead magnesium niobate—lead titanate (PMN-PT) single crystals have been successfully commercialized in medical ultrasound imaging. The superior properties of PMN-PT crystals over the legacy piezoelectric ceramics lead zirconate titanate (PZT) enabled ultrasound transducers with enhanced imaging (broad bandwidth and improved sensitivity). To obtain high quality and relatively low cost single cry...

Sintering with low frequency rf power (-50 M H z ) is a new technique with unique capabilities that has been used to sinter a variety of ceramic materials, including zirconia-toughened alumina, alumina, silicon carbide, and boron carbide. Processing with low frequencies offers many advantages compared to processing with conventional microwave frequencies (915 MHz and 2.45 GHz). Because of the l...
متن کاملSimultaneous measurement of electro-optical and converse-piezoelectric coefficients of PMN-PT ceramics.
A new scheme is proposed to measure the electro-optical (EO) and converse-piezoelectric (CPE) coefficients of the PMN-PT ceramics simultaneously, in which the PMN-PT ceramics acts as the guiding layer of a symmetrical metal-cladding waveguide. As the applied electric field exerts on the waveguide, the effective refractive index (RI) (or synchronous angle) can be effectively tuned from a selecte...

For more than one decade layer manufacturing technologies assist the development of new products. Due to a layer-wise build-up of a three-dimensional geometry, nearly every complex design is producible in a short period of time. Selective Laser Sintering is a powderbased technique to produce plastic prototypes (Rapid Prototyping) or metal mould inserts (Rapid Tooling). The laser sintering of ce...
